KABIG Jacket

Wear a piece of Breton history with the KABIG jacket, an authentic coastal classic passed down through generations! The kabig - from the Breton word "kab," meaning cape - was traditionally worn by sailors and coastal farmers to brave sea spray, wind, and cold without restricting movement. 

True to that heritage, our kabig is cut from wool cloth, unlined except in the sleeves, and keeps its traditional wooden toggle closures, now paired with snap buttons. It features a protective hood, a horizontal chest pocket, two exterior pockets with notched flaps, and a buttoned interior pocket. A robust, functional garment steeped in history, worn with the same simplicity as it was generations ago!
