From our ongoing collaboration with Le Slip Francais, another Living Heritage Company. The MATELOT breton sweater is the fisherman sweater of reference: it combines great warmth with high resistance to wind and cold thanks to Saint James' secret knit. With its tight knitting, shoulder button and slim fit, it is regarded as a 'second skin' and almost waterproof. It takes at least 23 kilometers of thread and 18 manufacturing steps to make a Saint James sailor sweater. In total, over 18 seamstresses will have been involved in knitting, steaming, cutting, assembling, remaillage, quality control and ironing the final item. This is the level of care taken in making top quality clothing. Slim Fit. Herribone Elbow Patches. Measurements for size Medium : total length is 70cm, half bust girth: 40cm, sleeve length: 63cm. Made in Saint-James, Normandy, France.
