The VAL D'ISERE sweater plays with the traditional sailor sweater codes, and modernizes them. Its round neck and rib trim enhanced its classical design, while its asymetrical stripes twist the traditional stripes from the sailor shirts. Knitted in wool and cashmere, it is soft and warm, perfect for winter.

This Winter, While living in the frozen north of New Hampshire, I have been wearing up to three layers of cashmere, cotton and Breton wool. This remarkable 95/5 Wool/Cashmere Blend is replacing (during a slightly milder spell) three layers by a single layer. Most of my experience with cashmere blends has been with cotton/cashmere (95/5). I’m even coping with the design, which is a new way of using the classic stripes of Saint James. The fit is also just right for a typical American XL fit. It is a close out buy, but if you should find one somewhere and don’t mind the extra design, you’ll still enjoy it.
